Wellington Wheelers Cycling Club. A social cycling club based in Wellington Somerset for riders of all ages and abilities. We run rides throughout the week as well as Time Trials in the summer and trips to the Newport Velodrome. The social side of the club is also taken very seriously with each ride having a cafe stop, and several events planned through the year including a summer BBQ, an Easter Egg Hunt and the Christmas lunch. West Buckland Hill Climb 2023

The Wellington Wheelers Hill climb takes place on Sunday 12th November and all are welcome. Please come and join us. This is a CTT Open Event run on a 'come-and-try' basis and, therefore, does not require club affiliation for competitors.

First rider is off at 09:00 but all riders must be wearing a number by 08:45 as the check-in will close at this time. If you’re planning to participate please register on the link below. Climb HQ is in West Buckland Village Hall where there will be plenty of refreshments afterwards.

Entry fee is £5.00 payable at on registration (PayPal, debit or credit cards only) WWCC members pay a discounted rate of £3.50.

The start line is on the south side of the village on the motorway bridge.

New for this year

There will be a one-way system in operation on the hill. Once you have finished the climb you will be directed on to the ridge road to descend via Ford Street and across to West Buckland. This safety feature has become necessary as we are unable to close the road to traffic. No descent is permitted on Buckland Hill
